Care Groups:

Care Groups are groups of 8-16 persons who choose to talk, learn, share, and grow together in their spiritual walks.  No two are the same but they all have the same goals in that they are:

  • Designed to meet the needs of the group
  • Christ-centered. Leaders meet regularly with Pastors for guidance.
  • Meeting regularly (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) in peoples' homes
  • People-centered.  Meetings are filled with fellowship, study and dialogue.
  • Confidential -all that is discussed in the group, stays in the group.
  • Group members listen to and care for each other.  They pray for each other and help each other in times of need.
  • Group leaders meet with each other and the Pastors monthly for supervision and continuing education.

Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) is a channel through which various constituencies of the Anabaptist church can respond to those affected by disasters in North America. While our main focus is on clean up, repair and rebuilding homes, this activity becomes a means of touching lives and helping people regain faith and wholeness.

Forest fire. Hurricane. Tsunami. Wildfire. Flood.  In an instant, through no fault of your own, your life can be radically changed.  After the Big Thompson River flooded west of Loveland, CO, damaging or destroying more than 250 homes and businesses, MDS was there.  Mennonites from all over the US and Canada contributed over 10,000 volunteer days of rebuilding, repair and cleanup, serving people and communities in a manner we are called to by our faith in Jesus Christ.
